Well considering that you have to make alcohol and not grow it, is such a difference.

I think if it's in the ground, then thumbs up to ya. Oh I know there are some things that you cannot touch. But honestly, it's not possible to OD on marijuana. You have to smoke five times your body weight for it happen. With alcohol though, just drink until you can't fell anything anymore, then drink and drink and drink until you pass out. That could lead to alcohol poising if not resulting in death.

I trust the green stuff more than the liquid stuff.

Hmm... maybe you should look up an exact verse and present it here.

By your logic (and obvious lack of understanding of the Bible), it would also be alright to smoke and/or otherwise consume poison ivy, poison sumac, oleander, and mistletoe (to name just a few poisonous plants).

**EDIT**
You know that "somewhere in the bible" blah blah blah...
Yup. I hear that song and dance a lot.
The good news is this... if "somewhere in the bible" it says you can smoke pot, go for it, my friend. Be sure and bring your bible along when the cops bust you for possession. I'm sure they'll be real understanding when you pinpoint all those verses that justify your breaking the law.

God created the world and everything in it and when he looked at it, he saw that it was good. The only place good or evil lay is within a person, it is what comes out towards the rest of the world that is either good or evil.

There are many herbs other than marijuana. The Chinese have incorporated it into their mainstream medicine for millenia, and today, we are realizing that those old ways are good for us. There really IS a temptation to project what people want to see into scripture to condemn what isn't expressly condemned, or to condone what they want condoned and justify their behaviors.

God created it, it's all good...even mosquito spit has been medically a boon. However, jesus said we must uphold the law too.
