no such thing as "toning" exercises.
muscle is always tone, subcutaneous fat covers its true shape, and you can't spot reduce fat stores.

I know this sounds crazy but a friend told me she was doing it and it made sense. If you excersize, like squats and stairs, yeah, you will TONE your butt but not make it BIGGER just firmer. What my friend did was purposely put on weight THEN start with heavy excersizes so that way the extra "cushion" would turn to muscle. She avioded cardio and just excerssized, since cardio makes the fat "melt off", she wanted to KEEP it, just CHANGE it to muscle...make sense?!?

Sure if you keep at it. The first thing that'll happen is that the fat will get burned off, then the muscle will grow and your butt will get bigger!

toning exercise for your butt will make it more firm, with more muscle than fat. so it will make your butt tighter, and yes it will make it bigger if you have a small butt.

not sure what you mean by "toning exercise"
however, squats, lunges, deadlifts and variations of these exercises can increases the muscle there as long as you are eating enough to build mass
