40-year-olds and 18-year-olds are both legal adults, so as long as they both consent it ought to look extraordinary or creepy, yet they're adults. the very incontrovertible truth that the ingesting age is 21 fairly than 18 is only a relic of the Prohibition, even as alcohol change into unlawful altogether, inspite of your age. Afterwards, diverse states set diverse minimum ingesting a lengthy time period, so ultimately a nationwide minimum age (21) change into set to examine the utmost minimum age. it really is like the BAC decrease - in diverse states, the utmost suitable BAC is everywhere from .05 to .10, yet then someone keen to set it around the traditional for the rustic, at .08. IMO, the ingesting age should be decreased to 18, yet it really is yet another difficulty altogether.

it's such a catch 22 because people under 18 can't even vote NO on such an issue.... its like, if a politician wanted to pass it there would be almost no opposition, because the opposition couldn't vote on it!
UK is 18, will be 18... as Europe has been/will be... US needs to relax a bit, its probably one of, if not the only country that the drinking age is 21.
I personally think we should take a page from Holland's laws and make it 18, and legalize the green stuff!

It doesn't say they are...there should be an article if they were. In any case, if you're of age now, then you'd be protected by a 'grandfather clause' - essentially the new law applies only to people not of age during the increase.

There are articles saying that it *should* be raised. In Canada it's 18, but when I was younger it was just rumored that they would increase the drinking age.

I don't think so. I haven't heard anything about it and can't find anything about it yet.
I just hope they won't up the age limit until after easter because then I'll be 21!!!

It's a big, wide world little missy. It's already 21 in the States so you are elsewhere.

No I don't think they are. I'm sure it would be more talked about in the media if it was - like fags. It wouldn't bother me anyway.

You're going to have to be more specific.

Where I live it's already 21.
