Sometimes I like to add sauted mushrooms and green onions. You can sprinkle some cheese on top too, if you feel like it.
Somebody else said to add an egg, that is good too. Cook your noodles, drain the water, add the egg, and stir over heat until egg is cooked and then add your seasoning.

Sometimes when feeling in the zone I like to add melted cheese like squeeze cheese, some diced up onion and diced up summer sausage. You can make it your own by adding diced up ham or turkey meat. Even ground meat is good. To get the best results you cook the noodles like normal and then drain almost all the juice. Then add the cheese, onions, meat and whatever spices you like. It really can make ramen noodles a whole new meal. I comes out almost like a casserole.

When I make it on the stovetop, I usually add an egg and sometimes some frozen peas or corn. Don't be afraid to experiment and add things to it. My friend likes to make it and then drain all the broth, and adds the seasoning, then she eats it with a fork like pasta.

Another friend introduced me to the "Jailhouse Burrito", here is a recipe for it. I use Nacho Cheese or spicy Nacho Cheese chips wth beef or spicy ramen noodles. And I don't use the jalapenos or chilli or cheese, although I never tried it with the summer sausage, I think it would taste really good.

Open all noodles and place inside some type plastic bag (lg. corn chip bag works great). Add cornchips and crush mix thouroughly (don’t leave any large chunks), then add the seasoning packs. Then bring some water to boil. While your water heats up go ahead and slice up your jalapenos and summer sausage. Once the water is hot enough, pour into your bag with the noodle/chip/seasoning mix. Important: add just enough water to come up just below top of mix (don’t drown them).Refill pot and heat can of chilli in it. Knead and work the bag with noodles in it around mixing thouroughly. Once this is done lay bag out and flatten down evenly, making dough/crust. If you’ve done this correctly there shouldn’t be alot of water running out if there is add more crushed chips and mix untill thickens. Fold end of bag, secure with paper clip, and wrap with towel to insulate and let “cook” for about 10 mins. Once done cut bag down middle and bottom and spread open. Noodles should remain in rectangular shape and be stuck together (like dough). Pour your chilli over top and spread evenly (if too runny add a few crushed corn chips to thicken mix. Then comes a layer of squeeze cheese, topped with summer sausage and jalapenos. Slice evenly and enjoy with your cell mates. Yum.

Asian Beef & Broccoli with Noodles

1 1/4 pounds boneless beef top round or top sirloin steak, cut 1-inch thick
2 (3-ounce each) packages Oriental-flavored instant ramen noodles, broken up
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 pound broccoli florets
2 medium carrots, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon grated orange rind (optional)
Cut beef steak lengthwise in half, then crosswise into 1/8-inch thick strips. Combine seasoning from ramen noodles with cornstarch mixture in large bowl. Add beef; toss.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Stir-fry broccoli and carrots 1 minute. Add noodles and 1 1/2 cups water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender and most of liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Remove; keep warm.
Heat remaining oil in same skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Drain beef, discarding marinade. Stir-fry 1/2 of beef 1 to 2 minutes or until outside surface of beef is no longer pink. (Do not overcook.) Remove. Repeat with remaining beef. Serve over noodles. Sprinkle with orange rind.
