Six illegal immigrants arrested at Qualcomm

San Diego:

Six undocumented Mexican immigrants were arrested today by U.S. Border Patrol agents at Qualcomm Stadium, after a report that they were stealing food and water meant for evacuees, according to spokesman Damon Foreman.

San Diego police responded to a call about alleged theft from the evacuation center and encountered six people in a van who didn't speak English and didn't have California driver's licenses, Foreman said. The police officers called the Border Patrol, who arrived at the stadium and made the arrests, he said. Foreman said the immigrants admitted they were Mexican citizens and that they were stealing.

Border Patrol agents are not looking for illegal immigrants at the center but will continue responding to police calls for assistance.......

The surprise will be if no one steps up and fights for these illegals "rights"....I believe that "illegal" means it is against the law in the first place..It is not labeling someone, calling them out more than others, it is saying that they were here "illegally" to begin with

There are always two sides to the story. And frankly, I am dismayed at what I am hearing. I have a friend who works for the spanish media television, and he was at Qualcom, and he said they (the suspected undocumented) were not stealing but looking for shelter. Now, as far as I am concerned, the supplies were there for the people who wanted them, so the Mexican immigrants needed just to ask for the supplies if they needed them. What could they have stolen anyway? Water, used clothes, or pizza? Comon' let's get real, if the so called illegal aliens had not spoken English, but had been, let's just say, white europeans, Italians, or German, nobody would have called the ICE department.

It's a horrible situation, but not a surprise. The real surprise is the fact that they were arrested. They were probibly taken to the nearest health department to sign up for benefits. I can't help but feel for people who are hungry no matter who they are, but..
They are wrong by just being here, then stealing food from our displaced fellow Americans who are living though a nightmare. It's all wrong.
Our boarders should have been secured a long, long, long time ago. Then they can be hungry on their own side of the boarder and maybe do something about it. Why should they,it's so much easier to mooch and steal from us.

The last time I was in San Diego it was full of illegal Mexicans and will probably be the next LA.

Apparantly 200 were arrested crossing the border under 'cover' of the San Diego fire, as well. Coyotes have been telling them to cross, but they have been caught in the flames. Who knows how many made it, but quite a lot haven't.

No it does not. I lived in LA for two years and it was most frustrating. I was trying to find a shopping mall and stopped at a gas station to ask directions. not only did the attendant not speak English, but had never heard of the shopping center, which I latter found just two blocks away and HUGE!

Wow! some illegals steal and get caught, and all of the sudden that's more important then the arsonist that started the fires. But I guess because he might be a citizen, so we shouldn't make a big deal about it? I'm pretty sure someone else committed a crime somewhere else during this time, but when an "Illegal" gets caught, we have to emphasize
"ILLEGAL".

Doesn't surprise me at all. Wish border patrol would look for illegals though.

I agree with Summer.

I disagree with Islam on many points, but their criminal law system makes for VERY few repeat offenders.
