The American people want all of this. It's the elites in governmental power who we need to take control of.
My wife and I do buy American when we can. We shop around.

Our country's sovereignty isn't in danger it's just constantly up for sale.
Free enterprise/capitalism knows no borders as long as there is cheaper raw matertials & labor beyond our borders.
Ousting the government in power is what we are supposed to do every four years if they are not doing the will of the people.
The only way to correct what has been allow to happen is to affect a trade embargo, until the products meet all of our Trade requirements, health standards, and ecological requirements.
If we would enforce the standards in place with these concepts it would greatly balance the trade deficit, upgrade foriegn worksmanship & materials, and lastly make it economically feasable to pay a decent wage to an American worker, so you would not have a need for a cheap ( immigrant ) labor force.
Your preaching to the masses that understand a lot of this and it symptoms. You need to preach to the un-informed that dont have a clue as to why this is happening.

Hopefully before elections. Many of the political people running for office right now are supporting and encouraging the influx of illegal aliens by not doing something to stop them and by providing benefits and privileges for them. Be careful however of what you read in their web sites; they have a tendency to talk around the issue or shade the facts. Do not decide your vote on what they say today but what they said and did in the past. Go back to their voting record and to the issue they were voting for. Remember many issues fail in the Senate and Congress not on their own merits but the things that were attached to the bill that may have noting at all to do with it. Political people like to say a person voted against certain bills but they never say why. It was most likely because a rider attached to the bill that resulted in a good bill being killed because of a bad rider. Important bills (such as the war, immigration and health care) should have no riders at all attached. Attaching riders results in more debate and less chance of it being passed on its own merits. Those are the things that killed the last immigration bill and the Children Health Care bill. Both bills made benefits and special privileges for illegal aliens. Look at the persons voting record and look at how they voted on the bill then decide if the person running for office is worth your vote!

We only ship cr*ppy jobs overseaas.
And Americans won't do the cr*ppy jobs we have left, which is why there is a problem at the border.
It is not so much that products are American mad e - few are 100% that way - but that American companies reap the benefits of their expertise in managing the entire process while others do the grunt work. That is what works in any modern economy, and believe it or not, we are still best at that and all innovation!
Anyone doing a job that could be outsourced is a drain on the economy, not a plus!

I agree - It is interesting though that the illegals come into our country, demand special privileges, march against us, degrade our flag, boycott business that are not employee the illegals and we just sit back and watch it on the news. Buying American is great, arguing against amnesty is great, telling our legislators to fix the problem is great, but is any of it getting us anywhere? We need to take action yourself. We need to boycott business that employee illegals (Not legal but ILLEGALS) and we need to demand the removal of public officers (elected and appointed) who allow illegals special privileges and undeserving benefits (such as drivers license, free medical assistance, schooling, etc.) We complain about increasing taxes; a tremendous amount of our taxes goes to illegal aliens. We complain about fuel shortages; an estimated 12 millions of gas a year is used by illegal aliens in this country; the amount of fuel oil they use has not been calculated). The American tax payer is continually being taxed for more to support the growing number of illegals while our government fails to fix the problem. Many of our elected officials agree the illegals need to be removed and our borders better protected. Others want to take the easy way out and give the illegals amnesty so we LOOK OKAY (that does not fix the problem, just colors over it). Too many politicians are backed by people who are benefiting from the illegals; business that employee them (these are the business we need to boycott).Elections are coming up - look at the records of those running for office and reject those who have supported illegal entry into the United States. Giuliani allowed the illegals to live and work in New York City as long as they did not cause trouble (he got the crime stats down because he ignored the illegals); Hillary voted to give them free medical care and wanted to give amnesty to the illegals so the problem would go away. These are the people who want to run our country; run it into the ground like the countries the illegals are coming from! U.S. citizens and legal immigrants need to boycott ANY business, regardless of the size, who knowingly employee or support illegal aliens! If your gas station is employing illegals but gas elsewhere, if the grocery store is using illegals go elsewhere, if the manufacturing plant is using illegals don’t buy the product they manufacture. If your political representatives are supporting illegal aliens get them out of office! If taking action seems difficult now you will shudder at what tomorrow will bring if we do not fix this problem now!

I believe if you can get people to use the resources at hand. A simple tool like Google. Read an entire article not a line or first paragraph we may have a leg up on part of the problem.

Everything that is wrong with America, has been done by Americans...jobs oversees (union greed), influx of illegals...no one wants to work (welfare)...if we can keep the liberals out of office we can change the direction we are headed in...
