I have come to the conclusion that I can't lose the weight on my own and need Nutrisystem.

I exercise 3 times a week, run & hike for 3 hours at a time, but I still am not making a dent on my 250 pounds gut!

I do eat unhealthy... 1 large meal a day and it's not healthy food.

So I definately need structure and discipline and I think a diet program like Nutrisystem would give that to me.

So any familiar with Nutrisystem could tell me if this program works? I am a little weary because I've heard so many complaints that their food tastes horrible.

Are there other diets that are cheaper and with tastier food?

My goal is to lose 100 pounds within 6 months.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Does Weight Watchers require that I meet with them face to face?? I do not want to do that. I am already embarrassed to leave the house due to my weight.

Well I can tell you what your problem is.. If you are only eating 1 meal a day and it's unhealthy that is your problem.. Before buying anything I would try 6 smaller meals of HEALTHY food... My friend was on Nutrisystem and lost weight, but once she stopped buying the food she put it all back on.. So it's better to eat better on your own and keep it off.. You could also try weight watchers.. They teach you how to eat and how to keep it off.. It worked for me!!

Try weight watchers. I had a co-worker who lost a bunch of weight on weight watchers.

Your exercise routine is great but if your only eating once a day and it is junk you are throwing your body into starvation mode and it is storing everything you eat.

You have to eat 3 square meals a day. Normal size portions. Limit your sweets. allow yourself a sweet snack or what ever you love once a week.

Diets fail because people get it in their heads that they have to never eat sweets etc and they just can't do it. So you limit and reward yourself.

If you don't start losing weight then you need to see your doctor. Could be thyroid or something else causing this.

Why don't you try Weight Watchers? I did and there is a lot more freedom. You certainly don't want to live your live as a diabetic if you don't have to. With weight watchers, you can basically anything as long as you stay within your points range for the day - it is a way of life, not a diet. That's the way you have to look at it. Find a local meeting in the area and just set your mind to it.
