I believe that Faith in The Lord is Knowing that God is there, Knowing that God will help you through all things and Knowing that He loves you in an amazing way that no one else could possibly dream or imagine! He is Perfect and He is by your side. NO MATTER WHAT!!!!! We walk by Faith not by sight. There was this saying in the movie miracle on 34th street : "Faith means believing when common sense tells you not to." May the Lord Guide you in the Name Of Jesus! Amen!

I am a Humanist and therefore I have this to put:

"Humanism is optimistic regarding human nature and confident in human reason and science as the best means of reaching the goal of human fulfillment in this world. Humanists affirm that humans are a product of the same evolutionary process that produced all other living organisms and that all ideas, knowledge, values, and social systems are based upon human experience. Humanists conclude that creative ability and personal responsibility are strongest when the mind is free from supernatural belief and operates in an atmosphere of freedom and democracy."

Faith in the Lord means believing in God. The bible says: He that cometh to the Father must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that dilligently seek him (King James Version) If you believe (VERY STRONG WORD) anything can happen. A mountain could fly past your window now (SERIOUSLY) but only if you believe.

Faith = Trust = Believing in that which does not appear to make all things work for good, despite the present conditions or limitations.

It means you can lay your head down at night, even with trials in your life, because you know that God is going to take care of you. It is knowing that no matter what life throws at you--- you have someone who never leaves your side and loves you no matter what. It is believing with all your heart. Plain and simple.

Ignorance.

It would be nice if "faith" meant a belief, but it increasingly is a smokescreen for intolerance, ignorance, bigotry, and hate.

Sadly, few of faith truly practice the teachings of Jesus.
