For those that say "if you don't say anything rude you don't have anything to worry about," have you noticed that for the most part I try not to insult people with my posts? In reality, that isn't the reason most of my posts get reported.

The posts that get deleted are the ones where I take the Jewish perspective and compare it to Christian ideology. When I point out why Jews are biblically correct for not accepting or believing in a savior, and point to what they've always believed were the prophecies that actually identify what their messiah would be and do while on Earth. Those are the ones that get reported and deleted. Can anyone tell me why?

Suzanne, that sounds like an interesting proposition. Thank you for asking nicely.

Pay close attention to posts obviously insulting or pornographic and you'll see that they get deleted quickly, say 5 to10 seconds. Why? Because after a certain number report it, say two or three, the system automatically deletes it. There are no yahoo people directly involved in the deletions, except that they designed the system. Unfortunately, people offering highly unpopular, yet courteously presented posts, like the obviously insulting and pornographic, get the whammy.

I'm not sure why your questions get reported. Because I have studied the Jewish roots of Christianity, I'd be happy to address your concerns (my teacher is a Messianic Jewish scholar, so this is one of my areas of specialty). So let's just say that I disagree with your statement that "Jews are biblically correct." Given the opportunity, I could quote enough Talmudic sources to show you there is not simply one, universal Jewish perspective on who the Messiah is or will be. You see, many folks are mislead to believe that Judaism is a monolith in this area -- actually, the opposite is true.

Was that polite enough? ; )

EDIT: De nada.

Have a better day. ;)

Well, they deleted my nice question/comment and did not give me an answer other than it violated something or other in the guidelines. I responded to the reason it shouldn't be - it all has to do with who likes you and who doesn't like you on this site. I think they need to evaluate who reports people and how many they have reported then delete these people for malicous intent by the "Community Guidelines". I am sorry for those who answered my little comment and can not give anyone the points that helped make this place bearable.
Go figure.....!

I haven't really noticed, but I can imagine that is true.

I don't understand why folks report others because they disagree; the times I've reported people was because they were disgustingly rude and were in obvious violation. But I've never once done that just because a person disagreed lol

Oh, and btw, I'm a Christian and I agree, if the Jewish people were to follow their own religion with all their heart, they wouldn't need Jesus. Jesus never said He came for everyone, there were a few instances where He stated the exact opposite.

I've had many posts deleted that were neither rude nor offensive in any way. If someone simply dislikes you opinion or avatar, you can get a violation. It has gotten better for me with the new reporting system, but censorship by the insecure will probably continue.

Some people think this forum should be a christian only forum. You'll have to get a teflon helmet to hang out in here.

They also report Christians like myself who do not necessarily agree with them on some topics.

What aggravates me about this situation is that there are times when I have sincere questions that I would like to ask people of different faiths. But there is no way I would ask the questions here because some are are ready to mock any faith but their own. I will not contribute to that by giving them an opportunity.

And these are the same people who report everything they don't like.

They are in great need of our prayers.

Welcome to R&S&C.(Religion & Spirituality & Cats)
This happens all the time/.
To everyone.
Certain groups seem to be here at certain times of the day or week and decide theirs is the only view that should be allowed. Christians think they are "standing up for Jesus" and Musims would actually like to anniliate posters but can't since the forum is anonymous.
It's a real problem here for everyone, even for Christians who are often the target of other Christians who disagree with them.
Even the atheists do it too.
It gets so unreal sometimes that I sign off. It's disgusting that you can't give your opinion here.

because i have noticed that around here the Christian perspective gets precedence, and if the Christians dislike what you are saying they report you even when you have a perfectly valid point. What i don't understand is why those reports would generate a negative response from yahoo when what you had to say was in no way derogatory. Seems somewhat biased in what is meant to be an unbiased place, doesn't it?

Yeah...mine are always the weird ones.

Yesterday I suggested that you should teach K-6 year olds about the Bible the same way they did it in A Clockwork Orange....that one they leave up.

But someone asked an insulting question and I gave a snarky, but not insulting answer and that gets deleted.

It is so random that I am done worrying about it. Accounts only take three min. to make. If they want to report, let them

because when you hit a sore spot with Christians the only thing they can do is report and besides Christians feel the same way about Jews as the Muslims do
