God loves us enough to warn us. For thousands of years, He has sent prophets, preachers, evangelists, and teachers to warn us how to avoid Hell.
Do not believe the above poster that says Hell is manmade. There are several references to Sheol, Hades, the pit throughout the old testament. Jesus taught more on Hell than He did heaven.
Bill Weise has written a book, "23 Minutes in Hell" where he describes the sights and sounds of Hell. You can see or hear his testimony on http://www.SpiritLessons.com

Because the Hell that we're familiar with....the fire and brimstone place of eternal torment....does not exist! This version of Hell is just a man-made invention in order to scare the people into religion and keep them in line.
If the read the Bible, you'll find that Hell is just the common grave of mankind. When people die, they cease to exist, until sometime in the future, when the hope of the resurrection will bring them back to life. Hence, people can not repent, if they don't exist.
