My mom was having some pain at her joint, after consulting a doctor, the doctor told her that she has bone spur. The doctor gave her some medicine and told her that if medication couldn't help to improve the condition, she'll have to undergo operation.

I did some research online. according to what I've found, bone spur cannot be 100% cured. Even after operation, it still has the tendency to relapse. There is no medicine will 100% make bone spurs disappear, if it does, bones in our body will disappear too!!!

However, my mom come accross someone making some paste plaster to be stick to the bone spurs area to "cure" it. I feel sceptical about it. I think the medical paste comes fr soem sort of chinese herbs. They claim bone spurs can be cured after apply 2 months.

Has anyone heard about this kind of treatment, or is it true? How can it make bone spurs "disappear"?

Using a paste will not get rid of a bone spur. How could it!!? It's BONE you're talking about!!!!!!!
You didn't say where the bone spur was. Spurs are caused from a calcium build-up. In the foot, if a person has a heel spur, it's usually cause by a tightening of the plantar faccia, and over a period of time that plantar faccia becomes not only tightened but enflamed. The constant tightening of that faccia causes a bone spur to develop on the heel.
I've had bone spurs removed from both my feet caused by what I mentioned above. Orthopaedic Surgeons and Podiatrists disagree as to what is the best treatment for this condition. The Orthopaedic Surgeon believes the spur should be removed, while the Podiatrist does not. The podiatrist believes that it's not the spur causing the pain, but the inflamed, tightened faccia.
After both my surgeries, I felt much much better; and wearing custom made orthotics (not what you buy in the pharmacies) has helped me a great deal.

That is, of course, a ridiculous claim. Bone spurs get taken off all of the time, and I cannot recall anyone ever coming in to have one off that had regrown, although there are some unusual patients who have bone spurs all over.

Only surgery will cure your mom. These Chinese herbs are money spinners for quacks. Surgically removed spur generally does not recur

SCAM!!!... I don't see how it could work, but hey if its cheap why not try it.

Medication from the doc will probably be something to help with inflimation, and will only help the symptoms.

Surgery is the only treatment, and your right it can relapse.
