my mate paid 2,000 pounds for a plate ( 4,000 dollars )

he proudly showed me it , and i went wow !!!

i didnt have the heart to tell him i hadnt a clue what it was meant to mean

I don't think it was a vanity. Sounds like one that would be created at random and just happens to look a little like it's meant to say something.
