Can you hear an alarm?
Have you got the manual? What sort of car is it?

Have a look through the manual coz it should tell you in there what all the symbols are. We've had a few "symbol moments" and have had to double check that the car isn't about to conk out or something. As it is a lock and key that is flashing then it is , possible, indication that you have something locked that shouldn't be, or it could be that your car is ready for a service, or any number of things really. The manual would be a good place to start but if you haven't got one then contact the manufacturer and they should either tell you what it is or send you a copy of the manual.
