I want to lose weight, and i know eating 6 times a day will boost my metabolism. Now my question is, how many calories should i eat in total a day? I was thinking doing a 1500 calories devided by 6 a day? Also what should i eat? I know eating lean meat and veggies are ok but i want to know specific things. Like 6 meal Example diet.

I heard Bread is bad? Plus can i eat cookies? One cookie is like 50 calories, and if i eat 300 calories a meal i can eat like 6 cookies and 2 hours after that eat other things. Its still 6 times so it wouldnt hurt right on ocassions?

Well thats basicly it i want to boost my metabolism. And Loose Weight.

you shouldn't be eating 6 cookies a day if you want to lose weight. i eat multiple times a day. not always six but here is an example of what i ate yesterday.

1 bowl of cereal with skim milk (all bran yogurt bites cereal which is high in protein and fiber, no super sugary cereal) 250 calories.

lunch peanut butter and jelly sandwich (whole grain whole wheat bread, reduced fat peanut butter and sugar free jelly) 270 calories

granny smith apple for a snack (70 calories)

melba toast with hummus (50 calories)

granny smith apple (70 calories)

turkey burger with cheese and avacado for dinner 400 calories)

i drink water constantly thruout the day and rarely drink anything else (it helps if you cut out soft drinks)

i'm not trying to lose weight and that was a little over 1800 calories for the day.

what you eat is as important as how many times you eat. cookies really don't fit in to that plan, as you can see. the healthier things will tend to keep you full longer. high protein foods are filling, cookies are empty calories that don't stay with you long. every once in a while one cookie is okay but shouldn't be part of a regular diet.

also bread is not "bad" you should have a balance of fiber, protein and carbs in your daily nutrition. try to buy double fiber bread, i think it tastes the same as wheat bread and is better for you overall.

6 Times A Day

I used to eat 6 meals a day, but since I've switched to 3 meals and NO SNACKS, I've lost more weight than ever before. The trick here is to eat healthy and eat about a 500 calorie meal. This works much better for my busy lifestyle, I only have to prepare 3 meals instead of 6, and I don't have to lug meals/snacks around with me. If you eat healthy (no sugars or refined carbs), and eat between 400 and 500 calories a meal (for a female), you can easily go 5 to 6 hours between meals.

Eating strictly cookies for a meal will not help your diet. If you do the 6 meals a day, add ONE cookie for dessert for each meal.

Good Luck!

Eat lots of fruits and veggies. Bread is actually good for you, but not white bread. Eat rye or wholewheat, It will fill you up. Avoid fat, switch to low or nonfat milk. Always eat breakfast. Drink lots of water. Cookies are loaded with sugar and fat so avoid them except on special occasions. Don't buy junk food so it will not be a temptation in your house.Eating six times a day will help with your metabolism, but not by much. You need to do cardio exercise at least three times a week for 30 minutes, and weights will cause you to burn calories as you increase muscle. Do not focus too much on weight. Concentrate on losing inches and getting into your clothes easier.

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.

1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.

2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.

3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.

These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Many small meals doesn't really boost metabolism, it manages blood sugar and hunger.

A big meal produces spikes in blood sugar, triggering an insulin reaction and converting the temporary surplus to fat. Then you get hungry again sooner than you should.

Spreading the same number of calories over several smaller meals gives you a better chance of using the calories rather than turning them to fat. Exercise helps this in two ways. Obviously, exercise burns calories, but fit individuals can also store more glycogen (blood sugar) in muscles and liver. This reservoir makes them more resistant to creating fat in the first place.

As for the cookies and bread, those are high glycemic carbohydrates, meaning your digestive system quickly turns them to glycogen, again, triggering a quick insulin reaction.

Another problem with junk food, when you're restricting total calories, its harder to get the necessary micronutrients in the smaller total. If you eat several cookes worth 300 calories, then you have to be even more careful about the rest of your meals to be sure you get the necessary vitamins and minerals.

Drinking water and a combination of fruits and vegetables (collard greens, kale, spinach etc....) will aid in weight loss. Reduce meat intake to the size of your palm and eat a double portion of the above with eight or more cups of water per day. Weight loss is attributed to ridding your body of toxins (regular bowel movements etc...). Also reduce sugar and salt intake and avoid processed foods...

it is suggested that you avoid carbs as much as poss, or have in small amounts, your meant to eat ever 3 hours, these meals about a small childs portion, veg and protein, about 300 calories a pop, try and avoid snack foods and fizzy drinks or sugary juices, try water, its actually really useful for losing weight, its healthier and makes you feel fuller.. if you fancy a snack try grapes or rainbow puffs, they are fab and so low in calories... dont forget to check fat amounts on food, ut may be low in calories but very high in fat, and avoid food that has anything ending in ose on the back its all sugar.. xx
