I had a baby in July and got lots of nice gifts for her and her big brother. I would like to get some cards printed with a picture of them kissing with "Thanks" as a message, and write a short hand note on the back. Is this too impersonal?

As long as you hand write a personal thank you note on the back, you are okay. That's really a cute idea.

The card sounds nice--I'm sure everyone would love to see the baby and her brother. But I don't understand why you want to have a preprinted "Thanks" when you're planning on writing a note anyhow. Just leave the inside blank and write the note there. Unless you're in high-society engraved Crane's stationery circles, this should be fine.

Sounds nice, but it would be better to send the picture with a note written on regular stationery.

It's fine, as long as you're including the hand note and your own signature, which makes it personalized.

As long as you hand write something on there, it sounds fine to me.

Really the most important thing is that you send one and acknowledge the gift
