Pretty much -- except that the rules he himself made said that humans aren't on the list of approved "clean" animals usable for sacrifice; and, due to the Roman soldier's spear wound, his body was not "unblemished" (another requirement for it to be a valid sacrifice) -- which means that the "sacrifice" (which isn't really a sacrifice when you take it back three days later) didn't count in the first place...
You'd think an omniscient deity would've thought things through a little better...

Yep that sounds about right. Well said. Total gibberish, isn't it?
How about creating the world with people who he knows everything about before they're even born and who he'll burn in hell forever because of rules he himself imposed on these creatures who never even asked to be tested and put on trial but some vile ogre who would personally fail them himself by any fair comparison. How can you respect (let alone worship) any entity that does not respect a universal morality. Why create the world in the first place anyway? Why demand praise? How can an omnipotent, omniscient being get so needy, insecure and bitter?
Religion really is utter nonsense from start to finish. None of it stands up to scrutiny. None of it.

I think it's more as if God were playing an MMORPG or maybe a game kind of like Populus or Civilization.
He sent down his avatar (Jesus), a manifestation of himself, to roam the world after earning some experience points by gathering up followers.
Now supposedly he's just waiting to respawn. Hell of a spawn timer though. :-D

By logical, do you mean thinking within the limitations of time space and causation? God does not have to think like us. Anyway, He is everywhere, so He doesn't have to move, right? His Spirit was in Jesus, just like it is in us now. The only difference is that Jesus had more consciousness of the Spirit than us. The sacrifice was to absorb all our thoughts which killed Him. However, because of what He did, through Him, we can now contact the consciousness of God.

Exactly. Someone had to attone for the flawed humans not meeting the unreasonable expectations he set up.
