Navel oranges are usually sweet and juicy, but not always. Are they still green? As far as I know, they won't ripen any more once they're picked. A neighbor of mine brought several bushels of them back from vacation and found out the hard way. They picked green ones hoping they'd last longer, but not one of them got any riper.

If they're not green, you could squeeze them for juice and add a little sugar to sweeten it.

Once they have been picked, they will not ripen any more, but the long the sit, the softer they get. They don't really get any sweeter, though.
