Why would you follow in a religion that damns billions of people to infinite torture and doesn't give them a second chance?

That seems so freaking rude.

Says something about what kind of person you are - a jerk.

You're all bad people. >:^(

And you are a classic "glass half empty" type of person who obviously has a very limited understanding of authentic Christian theology.

No, I like to look at the glass as overflowing and like to live life to it's fullest - the concept of God in your life holds you back from that, and I probably know more about Christianity than you could ever hope to - My question was directed at ignorant Christians(the majority) and not people who are well studied.

Yes, it does irreconcilable with what they claim about God loving all his children, doesn't it?

Of course they don't all believe in that description of Hell. Some of them just describe it as being separate from God.

Which makes it quite appealing to those of us who don't much like the sound of him.

You think a little to highly of yourself.
I follow because God is kind and loving and his judgment is just.
Do not judge other people when you have never taken the time to look for truth through prayer and studying the Bible.

religion saves, it doesn't condemn. God is giving everyone the same chance for salvation. Hitler had the same chance as Mother Teresa of going to heaven but I'm shore Hitler condemn himself to hell when he didn't Believe Jesus. and I can't believe how many people are so ignorant that they are going to follow the masses to the lake of fire, when all they have to do is swallow their pride, admit they're sinners, ask forgiveness, and go to Paradise

No religion can damn you to hell. It is our personal choice to choose heaven and hell.

You do not like God, too bad. God is God no matter what you think of Him. If you do not take His offer, blame yourself. You have many changes.

Everybody on the planet has a second chance every minute of every day. Many reject God over and over and over. That's their choice. I hope this isn't another attempt to blame God for what people choose to be.

It's not any one religion that sets the rules.

God decides. God wants everyone, everyone, everyone to go to heaven. He loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for the sins of the world.

Not 1 billion people, but all the billions of people.

religion has nothing to do with it.

No, I don't and I wouldn't. Even if there was amazing incontrovertible proof or even some suggestion that any of it was true, I don't think I'd like to be part of it thanks. Plus if I didn't honestly like it then god would know that and send me to hell anyway.

Those who think that do so because they have been conditioned by their religion to think in that manner. Religion hinders any and all forms of independent thinking as well as thinking for oneself
