I would think too much is certainly not good for you, I know it affects the 'other end' badly, as your backside feels like a catalytic converter! after a hot chillie meal has been through it! lol. Have a great day.

I don't think so. It's chokeful of vitamin C even after cutting and overcooking. The spiciness is in the seeds usually except for the habanero chilli which is spicy even to touch.
The only thing is you might probably get a lot of gas if it's not digested well, and spicy gas... well just imagine how that feels like! FYI, if you happen to take alot of it in one sitting, when you pass it out, it can feel like it's burning.
Anyway, milk seems to nuetralise the effects. Hope it helps!

If it burns the passage next morning, it was too much.
Too much chilly can damage the mucous lining of your stomach. If it's once in a while, the body can overcome it, but doing it regularly may lead to ulcers

Yes it could be... In general it is because it can affect the acidity in your body as well as your bowel... but some people can consume more than others... I just suggest drink more water.
