Everytime I see the words "former atheist" I chuckle to myself. It's as if they're trying to say "I was blind but now I see." Maybe they use it as a conversion tactic. Maybe it's just to show that some atheists are more easily led than others. Who knows? All I know is, it's amusing.

There;s a lot of "I was a bigger sinner than you were" competition among a segment of the converts. You'll see the same thing at AA meetings (I attended as an observer before anyone tries to infer anything). It's a boasting competition, nothing more. So much for humility.

The Bible says to confess your sins to God and to one another. When we confess our sins, we are less likely to EVER repeat them. A person, in their spiritual ignorance is an atheist. Once they recieve the knowledge of the Lord, and accept Him as their Saviour, then I am not so sure they are held accountable for being an atheist BEFORE. But, IF they know of God and reject Him, and are atheists, then is when it is a sin.

Former atheist? Ha, yeah right. Most "atheist" converts to religion are people who were more agnostic than purely atheist. Though, I will concede to some exceptions: mostly people who lose their minds, or are homeless beach dwellers, and drug users looking for hope.

Why would being an atheist be morally wrong? People are atheists because of logic and evidence (or lack thereof). Whats so wrong about having reasonable beliefs?

Admitting our sins is necessary for salvation. Praise God someone else has seen and or felt the truth.

*IF* atheism is a sin, and I were one once, or even if I am one now, then God already knows about it

you can't hide from God, since the Kingdom of Heaven is within you, not outside of you
