No, their beliefs are different.
But there are similarities which cause the confusion.
Both religions began in America in the 19th century, by charismatic men who preached that the end times had arrived and the time had arrived for "believers" to re-establish "true" Christianity.
Both look to modern-day "revelation" which they claim doesn't contradict the Bible, yet can't be found in the Bible, only through them (the Book or Mormon or the Watchtower) as the source of revelation.
Both use door-to-door methods of prosyletizing.
Both religions today boast growth in numbers, family values, and moral standards that are higher than the norm. In spite of that, though, both have unflattering histories that are largely ignored or excused by their members.
Mormons are best known for their one-time belief in polygamy, and Jehovah's Witnesses are best known for their repeated failed predictions of when Armageddon would take place.

No they are not. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that many people will live on earth and will be allowed an oportunity to come to perfection under the direct Kingship of Jesus Christ and only 144,000 will go to heaven. Also the true and only GOD name is JEHOVAH,. JESUS Christ is the Son who was sent to Earth as a second Adam so that all that believed in him would be saved and the Holy Ghost teaches and serves as a comforter. Now the Mormons believe that all who believes and obey accordingly will go to Heaven. They also believe that Jesus Christ is the true son of GOD and the Holy Ghost si a force that protects and guides us as do most Christians. Also sees the BIBLE as Basic Instructions Before leavin Earth

No.
Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses are both self-described Christians. The religions resemble each other in very superficial ways, but their theologies are markedly different.
As individuals, many Witnesses note that adherents of Mormonism have a reputation for neighborliness and godly love which is too uncommon among self-described Christians.
(John 13:34-35) I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.”
It is also true that Mormonism has managed to recognize a few of the obvious bible truths that continue to evade most of Christendom, such as recognizing that Jesus the Son is a distinct person from God the Father.
(Mark 13:32) Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father.
(John 20:17) Jesus said to her: “...For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’”
Also, it is interesting that only Jehovah's Witness and Mormonism have any real program of lay-ministry in which every adherent is encouraged to preach.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded
Jehovah's Witnesses work to spread the Good News about the Kingdom of God, and so that is the focus of their message; they do not work at targeting any specific religion. Of course, "Mormonism" is not a single religion, but the so-called 'Latter-day Saints' tolerance of holiday celebrations, warfare, and nationalism are among the beliefs which Jehovah's Witnesses feel are incompatible with true worship.
It seems best to allow Mormons themselves to describe the uniqueness of their beliefs regarding various post-biblical holy writings, modern-day literal prophesy, the correlation between the physical and spirit realms, and the various levels of grandeur in heaven.

depends on what sense you mean. THey are both the same in terms of being mistakes. They are different types of mistakes
Jehovah Witnesses believe Jesus is a created super angel named Michael who created the world This is more like the early arian controversy
Mormons (the Utah ones not the Missouri ones) believe GOd is married and there is a MRS God and Jesus and Lucifer were their first children, sibling rivalry led to rebellion and we are their children in heaven who were sent to live here on earth. God and Mrs God used to be mormons on another planet long long ago in a galaxy far away. It is more like a neopaganism (the missouri mormons view god in a more orthodox way but$stil have allot of eccentricities_)

No, Mormons believe that Jesus came to America....Seriously. Jehovah's witnesses are just a strict form of Christianity that includes door to door pamphlet distribution.

They are not anything alike but if I was queen of America these two religions would no longer exist. Their practices disgust me.
