I see a lot of cute boys who are with slutty girls or nerdy girls... but they don't give me a chance... When I go out, they always stare at me up and down, some have the courage to compliment me saying I look pretty/beautiful, but they would quickly leave after... and would do some other weird things... There's no boys who approach me... at all... I wear fancy clothes, jeans and heels. I'm really nice and I don't get mean at people even if the person's not my type, I wouldn't embarrass them like a lot of girls do. But they never give me a chance... I live in NYC and I'm 18... What can I do? Where can I go?

Try approaching them. It doesn't really matter where you go. You can meet guys anywhere. Start with a hello and a smile.
Next time a boy compliments you make sure you are polite. Say thank you and use that time to introduce yourself.
Also, make sure that you stay true to yourself. Don't be too desperate and knowingly pick a jerk just because he approaches you.

Try wearing a pair of jeans with a white T-shirt, maybe some wedge shoes, and hold a cold beer in your hand... No makeup, and hair down and straight. Men love women who are natural and just themselves. Most men I know (and I'm a bartender) only look at women with big hair and makeup and cleavage, heels, etc... as objects looking for attention..So they treat them like crap cause they feel the girls are trying to show off. When you dress cute but simple they respect you for not trying so hard and feel like your down to earth and easy to talk to because your not high maintenance for them...Men like to hang out with a girl who just wants to have fun and not need a lot of attention, so by dressing like a hollywood star scares them away or makes them think you need lots of attention.. They dont have time for that.. so grab a beer and a 4 wheeler and pull up to them like that...You will be married right away. lol Good Luck

Making eye contact is always a plus, As a guy some good eye contact is a green light for me to approach a girl. Also I know it sounds contradictory but don't look for guys to approach you. For some reason this seems to work but go somewhere with the mindset of having a good time, It seems like once you forget about the opposite sex, then they start looking for you. Hope this helps,

Be patient.....
My friend has the same problem, she is very pretty and men just feel unable to approach her I think as they're scared they will be rejected... You will have someone that will feel confident enough to approach you one day, you just need to be patient and stop looking...!! The moment you stop worrying will be when you are most likely to find someone, and you're only 18 you have aaaaaaaaages!! juat have some fun with your friends and relax......
P.S My friend is now with someone great but they were friends for a while before getting involved as he thought that she wouldn't look at him in that way, just shows you how insecure men/boys are aswell.....

You should try approaching some boys. There is nothing wrong in a girl appraching a guy she likes. Maybe the haven't got enough courage to apprach you... It's that simple. Patience is a virtue, remember that ;)

Don't dress to impress... the fancy clothes, jeans, and heels. If you come across as spoiled and high maintenance, it might just turn guys off. You know? Or it might not look natural, like you don't look and feel comfortable. People do pick up on things like this.
Be yourself. Dress comfortably but nice.... remember to be a lady. Have manners, have class. Most of all, be comfortable with who you are.

maybe you are too smart for them and hey a clever boy himself will find his way into your heart...maybe not now so girl have some patience allright.These guys dont sound nice to me anyway.......thatswhy they fall for the sluts and nerds.No reason to feel jealous , left out or ignored,what should you care at this time in your life.MAYBE when you are 38 and its still same thing you might have a problem
