Better than ever.

Years ago Christians were in charge and then you could be burned at the stake for being thought to be a witch or not towing the church line. If you said something Christian did not want you to in Philadelphia they punched a hole through your tongue. In Europe Charlemagne drowned Germans who would not convert in swamps.

The list is truly endless. Christianity brought repression and suffering to the masses in Europe until the Enlightenment. The US is a product not of Christianity but of that enlightenment - the freedom from religion. Its morals vastly oustrip those of the religious that went before.

Where? In US inner cities? In an Inuit village? The nomadic Mongolians? A village in China? An aboriginal settlement in Western Queensland? Or do you mean the Japanese? No, you mean those Icelanders don't you? or was that the Faroe Islanders?

No, you mean the Yamami in the Amazon ?

Or did you mean the Kurds?

OK, I give up, is this a trick question? or do you believe all of humanity is currently following the same morals, customs, ethics and principles as you or those you live amongst?

Every one thinks that what he thinks is right and the best for the entir world .Tthis hasd been so from the day man started thinking .This was the nursery bed of all troubles of the world and continues to be so at presnt and will be so in the future also.
So what each one thinks is moral.

'Morality' refers to a 'system of moral conduct'..
It is permanent and all embracing.
People's morals imply 'their conformity to such code of conduct'
At one time they may be very conscientious and at another, they may act quite disregarding it.
The present day scene is eloquent about it.

Morality is not good. I was not around at the time but from what they show on TV, it sounds like it was a lot better in the 1950's. (But that's TV.)
