because the people who use it are ignorant, arrogant and from a different planet to the rest of us.

God made creation............and then eventually he made us.
He did not make evil and he does not punish us, we manage that all by ourselves.
He is our Father and like a Father he has given us freedom of choice. We cannot stop bad things happening to our children and this is what people mean when they refer to the above.
We cannot have it both ways, do we want God to interfere in our lives all the time, telling us what we can do every single minute monitering our thoughts and deciding what we can think.
He has not promised us death but eternal life, this is the reason that He sent His only Son into the world.
God loves all of us so much and everytime we hurt so does God.
It is so easy to blame him for all that goes wrong, but how many thank Him when things go right.
Evil is done by human beings to one another in many ways, all we need to do is check our history books.
I know it does not matter what I say, I am not clever enough to debate all these questions, I just speak from my heart of what I know to be true. God is real, He loves us, and when you let Him into your life then your cup will overflow and you look at life a completely different way. Bad things still happen but you are able to cope better, and your days are full of wonder and awe..............Godbless.

a deity, according to Desmond Morris, is the human need for a super parent.
In the ancient world, a god would be in our likeness but with bigger reactions to their emotions, when angry gods would send terrible punishments down on people. Its a response to being at the mercy of the elements and natural disasters, I assume. In later days they shifted the blame onto a devil for plagues etc while the monotheistic god could take all the credit for nice stuff.

The bible does not teach hell fire, it was adopted by christendom. Hell means grave or pit which is where all dead people go, even Jesus went there. God did not create evil but created creatures with free will who chose to rebel. Yes he has allowed man to make his own way so that it proves their need for god , but that will not always be the case. One day the meek will inherit the earth. The lake of fire spoken of in the bible is symbolic of eternal destruction, death and hades( Hell) are spoken of as being thrown there. (Revelation) . Since " the dead are conscious of nothing at all" Eccl 9: 5,10 how can they be punished in hell?

Because Christian analogies are not infallible, but God's Word is :)
We become God's children when we believe in Christ and he gives us a new birth by the Spirit (John 3). To His children in Christ, there is no condemnation! (Romans 5).
It's actually wrong question to ask "Why does God punish sinners?". The real question is: "Why is God long-suffering towards us all this time and why did He save anybody with Christ dieing on the cross and suffering so much? Why is God loving sinful and dissobedient people so much?!"

If he created us then he could make us good. Like Bill Gates managed to stop computers crashing as much with Windows XP 2005 Ed.

God sends no one to hell.
God gave you a free gift to heaven
you earned hell with your sin
That IS Gods law and you cannot change it.
You refuse a FREE gift you by default choose the alternative (of which you know of in advance) which is eternity in hell.
You can be mad at God and die in your sins and go to hell but when you get there you will know you are there rightly.
Or you can repent of your sins and accept Jesus

These people make the choice to disobey God, and reject Him. They do not want a relationship with Him and so He grants them there wish.

God didn't create evil. Evil was there the same way God was there. God gave people free will to choose to His love over choosing evil. Evil is sin. God can not look on sin. Humans sin but can be redeemed by accepting Jesus as their savior so God can accept them into His kingdom as His children. He loved us so much He gave us a way to eliminate evil from our lives if we just do our best to live a godly life.

I have no idea. I would have though unconditional love...but no, eternal hellfire. Because we were created the way we are...even if that's sceptical or non-Christian...yeah
