no, i disagree the previous answer to ur question that love is only MONEY, it is wrong!
when u r in love u loose ur appetite, have certain doubts, want to improve urself, u want to be better, coz love influences u in a positive & creative way...if love is mutual u feel like there r butterflies flying in ur stomach or as if u r flying when u see ur desired object, u want to see him more often, u think about him more often & u do crazy things u've never did before!
as it for ditching-it depends on the certain situation, so life is dull without presence of love in it!

there is no definition for love! nobody could describe it! i am a girl and i would say girls flirt to get atention! i am not sure! girls don't always flirt to get attention! their are always resons! girls don't always ditch guys! maybe they don't like them! i know you would do the same thing! well let me tell you this love comes in many forms, love can be used in many ways, but love can not be combined w/ madness or hate. alot of ppl use love, and they use it in many terms not just for relationships. love always wins anger never wins.
