I would tell her when you decide to become serious about her. Keep everything forward and simple but if you have a lapse it would help her understand.

No, I do not agree with that you should tell her in the beginning of a new relationship. How would that work Hi,am Bi-polar as you said you suffer from bipolar you are not bipolar....When there is trust and you think she will be part of your life. Then get some information for her to read, some uninterrupted time and talk to her about it. Explain that this is something you do not confide in everyone about but you think she is special and you can trust her with something that is very important to you and that it is misunderstood a lot and you want to help educate her about bi-polar and how it has affected you in your life

Being Bipolar isn't something horribly bad. Go ahead and tell her in the beginning of the relationship. If she likes you for you she'll want to continue to get to know you. If she has a problem she'll probably choose to be 'just friends'. Find out how she feels asap before you start liking her too much :)

You are bipolar not handicapped. You sound like one of those guys who blames being an a$$hole on his condition. You shouldn't have to tell her about it at all if you are taking care of it properly. Quit using this 'diagnosis' as a crutch. I used to do that too, only I have an actual disorder. I have Tourette syndrome. I don't take any medication. I could get away with a lot if I let myself, and I used to. I finally decided that it wasn't the disorder, it was me, and I was a prick. That's when I went off of my medication and decided to take responsibility for my problem. Don't use your problem as an excuse when you are a prick. It's not the disorder buddy, it's you.

If you really like this lady you ought to tell her. Bipolar personality disorder's nothing to be ashamed about...you're not at fault here. It's just that some of your hormones are way low or too high at times. I'm sure you're taking medication for that so you could inform her about that too.

It all depends on how long you have been dating and if you see the relationship progressing. If you feel that the relationship is progressing, then you need to be honest with her about your condition. I dated my husband about a month before I told him I suffer major depression. By that time I knew the relationship was more than just dating.
