I have a 1997 Nissan Altima. I am not a racer but I need to replace the struts soon & want to know if I should have a strut bar installed as well. I do regular city driving with 600 mile trips every other month.

Should I invest in this from a performance issue & so my struts last longer, to reduce wear n tear on my car? If so, what kind of strut bar should I look for? Any recommended brands or places to buy it? Thanks for your help

I just installed some Falken 912 seres tires (size 205/60 r15). These are great tires by the way =) I am going to install some aftermarket monroe shocks. But I dont knwo if I will change the springs. If I dont change the springs will I still see an improvement in performance with the strut bar aka strut brace?

The strut brace or strut tower bar (STB) is used to prevent Yaw in your front suspension.

Basically to prevent your suspension from leaning in hard turns.

The benefits are minimal and can best be felt with lowered suspension and aftermarket struts or coilovers.

It won't do a thing for your strut life.

If you really want one, go look on ebay for a solid bar. They don't cost much and can be installed in mins.
