The 2nd Iraq war was started by Bush Jr. on the false pretext of existence of WMD in Iraq. Iraq was invaded, its president and his relatives and top leaders have been killed, thousands of army men and innocent civilians have been killed. And as a fallout , many retaliatory suicide acts by iraqi guerrillas have been killing many every day.
If the war was started on the FALSE PRETEXT, then responsibility of these killings also must be fixed & trials should be done just the same as done for Hitler & nazis.

If anybody thinks that a genocide (by barbarians) is to avenged by another genocide , then I beg to differ. Then what is the difference between them & us. This amounts to making a right from two wrongs. If terrorism is the cause of all this , we need to see how it all started :
(1) American govt. & Pakis had eyes on Kazakh oil so US backed Paki Govt started terrorism on Soviet border.
(2) Soviets invaded Afghanistan to eliminate terrorism.
(3) US used CIA to cultivate a saudi rich guy Osama Bin laden as a front to encourage afghani militia Taliban(read terrorists) on a large scale involving many foreign mercenaries.
(4)After soviets left afghanistan Osama felt cheated as he thought that he is not compensated enough by CIA / US.
(5)Osama started terrorism , leading to WTC disaster.
(6)US invaded Iraq illogically to contain terrorism of Osama in afghanistan
Al-Queda is nothing but a case of Frankenstein turned back on its creator.

Tuberoot - In almost every country, injustice, war & oppression happens so , is US going to fight in all countries. See :
Sri Lanka , here terrorists were raising money from west.
Pak -- Hot bed of terrorists.
Africa -- Most wars were started by dictators backed by foreign govts.
Latin America - US backed dictator Pinocet et.al
Far east Asia - Communist backed dictators and govts.
India - Killing by hindu fundamentalist state govt.
Middle east -- Apartheid being practiced by US backed Israel. They have built a wall just like Berlin wall of East Germany.
We dont have a world govt. with world police or military, therefore these aggressions are nothing but hegemony causing bloodshed & oppression to poor people.

Question: who gave Saddam Hussain the WMD weapons to invade Kuwait and supported him?????
Answer: AMERICA (I mean government)
Question: who did not notice that Saddam was evil who kept killing his honest people??
Answer: AMERICA
AMERICA gave Saddam the WMD for killing and that was fine with the US BUT when Saddam tried to protest against the US, they send their troops and the big crime happened under the name of healing the world of the terrorism. And that’s definitely not true.
Another point… If the US wants just Saddam so why killing people, are the entire Iraqi terrorists??? Ok if we agreed that all the people there are terrorist (that’s impossible and unacceptable), what about kids!!!!! What for God's sake that could be???? there are daily crimes happening over their!!! WHERE IS THE UNITED NATIONS!!!
Obviously the US is the creator for every terrorist start with Ben Laden and Saddam Hussain.
For every body's information no real human in the Middle East is supporting those two terrorists, even though we are totally against the American politics and crimes.
its a big lie...... they need the oil..... and desrtuction

We are there to wipe out terrorism and get Bin Ladin. There was a lot more to it than WMD and just like our media is known to tell us what they want us to hear. There is always the other side of the story that the media will not tell us. Those people in Iraq were under an evil, greedy, and self righteous dictatorship that needed to be stopped. If we don't finish this thing that will happen again. Do you want terrorist to be in charge and take over the middle east? I don't. Don't get me wrong Bush is an idiot and our entire government should be replaced but the job of the military is as important as any has ever been for the safety of not only this country but many others as well.

Well, first off, that wasn't the only reason for the invasion.
Second, the armistice from the first Gulf War was conditional on Saddam getting rid of his WMD's and providing proof that he had done so. Whether he did the first or not is debatable, but it's certain he didn't do the second. It would've been so easy - just don't kick the U.N. inspectors out. But he got all testosterone-filled about his "national sovereignty", and there you go.
Third, artillery shells containing ricin have been found. Parts of a mass centrifuge, which is used to enrich uranium, have been found (buried in someone's back yard, of all things). Iraq is a big place, and he had plenty of warning (thanks to the U.N.) that something was coming. Perhaps they haven't all been found because he was too good at hiding them?
Fourth, what on Earth does this have to do with R&S?

Just because the WMDs were not found, are you positive that they weren't there? Are you sure that they weren't moved to Syria or some other country? Are you positive that they weren't just buried, and haven't been found yet? (we found a full squadron of aircraft that had been buried to protect them from being destroyed)
Do you know how much chemical is necessary to kill thousands of people? We are talking about litres here. How difficult do you think it would be to hide a case of two litre bottles of soda in a country the size of California?
There was credible evidence that they were there. We know that they have the capability to make them. My fear is that they were turned over to a terrorist organization and may already be in this country.
Sleep well.

Akbar brings up an excellent point. Saddam did use gas to kill his own countrymen (he wouldn't have considered the Kurds or any others like them his people). The pretext for entering was WMD's and though they didn't find any like they would find right here in America... they did find chemicals that would be used for such. They also found mass graves proving that Saddam and his regime were slaughtering people who disagreed with him.
The problem with this that I see is when all of this started, it was right after 911... Bush told the American people we were going after the one's who hijacked our planes and flew them into the WTC. 8 months after he says that, he says "we're not worried about them anymore... we're going into Iraq to stop Saddam". He got the American people revved up for war and then changed the direction of it all together. Some of his admin was stating that it would be too hard to find Osama in the desert. But we found Saddam out in the middle of nowhere in Iraq in a hole...
We know it's Big Business that drives this war... and they'll keep it going for as long as they can.
I wonder how many people who are all for this war realize that we are still paying for WWII? Do they realize that our great-grand children will be paying for this? But I guess that doesn't matter.... let's not worry about the future of OUR families.....
As for trials for war crimes... they'll get out of it. Look at Rumsfeld. Germany wanted to bring him to trial for War Crimes over this very thing and he Ran... dropped out of office. No more was said about bringing him to trial. I kind of wished Germany went ahead with it.

Yeah I am weeping over the fact that Saddam Hussein is dead. You do know that the Iraqis tried and executed him themselves, dont you.
Oh my goodness people. We arent fighting the Iraqis anymore. We won that war in weeks. We are fighting terrorists in Iraq. The official Iraqi gvt and military is on OUR side. I am amazed at how ignorant people are about what is going on in Iraq.
The war was started for many reasons, not just wmds. All wars are started for many reasons. I think we have to wait and see the results of this war to really know if it was worth it. If in 15 years Iraq is a free and stable nation, with a gvt that respects human rights and is friendly to the US gvt, thus helping us to secure our interests in the middle east and holding back Iran, then it will most definetly be a war that was worth fighting.
There are no criminal world crimes or courts. We sign treaties that say we will agree to certain terms, but there is no world law or world jurisdiction. What rights would you surrender under the Constitution to be a part of a world legal system?
US did not go into Iraq to try to take over Iraq for themselves. They havent slaughtered milllions of people just for the sake of killing people off.
How you can even compare the 2 is beyond me.
hey Peter, where is all my stolen cheap oil? I just payed over 3 dollars for my gas. I want my stolen cheap oil!

Weapons of mass destruction is not the only reason we went to war in Iraq. It is just the one the media most reported. Saddam had the weapons, ask the Kurds. Saddam was also in material breach of the treaty that ended the First Gulf War, he had rockets that had greater range than what was allowed, so the war is COMPLETELY JUSTIFIED. He also shot at coalition planes that patrolled the no-fly zone from the First Gulf War, another ACT OF WAR.

What about the muslims who killed those people in the towers and in the other planes? That was the real catalyst for the war. Would you rather be under their unholy laws right now?

i would recmmend you talk to those who have been there. the mass graves alone showed that there was/is a problem. you speak of hitler & the nazi's. we as a country chantize ourselves for not doing somthing sooner - even though we knew, we had aerial pictures of the camps. when we finally stepped up we felt horrible for not doing somethig sooner. with all the mass graves AND the fact they were doing Swengali type torturing in their hospitals, calling all out of work AND school for public hangings -- should we have waited again and let more die and suffer and then come back and tell ourselves - like we did with hitlr - we wited too long to get involved this time (again) it won't happen the next time?!?!?

1) George W. Bush is not a 'Jr.'
2) If all it took was to kill an innocent to be guilty of a war crime then Islam would have a lot of trials to face in the world court.
3) Saddam Husein told us that he was going to use WMD's on our troops. He lied. So he was the one who killed many innocents.
4) There is no one acting more like Hitler in the Middle East than Muslims who supported Saddam Husein.
