I think it's a combination of things. obviously looks are part of it, but it's different than you might think. Kindness goes a long way with a lot of guys, and most guys are looking for a girl that's fun to be with.. someone they can laugh and have fun with.
sometimes the things that make you vulnerable, are what's appealing to a guy - and sometimes those are the things you don't like about yourself. I'm not sure why this is, but I've seen this many time.
in many ways looks do help get a guys attention, but so does kindness. You can certainly get a guys attention just by showing him kindness and that can help a lot
