Tell your friends how their negative attitudes towards you and your boy are hurtful to you and they need to quit. If they do then they are true friends. The main thing is that you like this boy and that he likes you. Who cares if he is a "dork", as long as he is good to you and you like being around him that is what matters. You are only 13 years old, you will soon find that those "labels" (i.e "dork", "jock" whatever) don't change how you feel about a person once you get to know them. Plus you can't help who you have feelings for. So ultimately do what makes you happy not what you think your friends would approve of.

hey, well, im kinda a dork, and ive been going out wif my gf for about 5 months and she hangs around wif the popular group. and their all conservative and mainstream, so they didnt like the idea of me going out with her. what we do is that we joke along with them, and when we can't stand their nonsence we just walk off together and go to the canteen or just sit under a tree or something.
if u want my advise, just persist, and ur friends will find out that you like him, and they will eventually get bored with it. all they want is to make you flip out, so dont over react. im not saying lye down and let them walk over you, but stand your ground and dont give them any dirt.

well - you can help him become much less "dork like" - sometimes a guy needs a girl to help him with his confidence, and learn the little things that he needs to make it in this world.

Just ignore them...they'll stop eventually. They are just jealous that you have someone. If you like him then that's all that matters. Think about what's really important here.

It shouldn't matter what others think, its about what you want. You like him, so tell your friends to back off and respect your choices. If they wont, they aren't very good friends
