There's a few things i would do the first is talk to your local citizen's advice bureau about the situation they can give better advice than most secondly talk to your sister about how she lost her job if its because she was pregnant then she has to report it she could even get compensation, the city counsil can be notified about her current living conditions photo's or a few letters about the state of her accomodation wouldn't go amiss however you need to take into account that despite these conditions her boyfriends mum did let her stay in her house when it seemed she has nowhere to go so make sure you give thanks where they're due it's not just your sister who has to help her boyfriend can either get hmself a job if he hasn't already got one and apply also to the counsil saying that they're starting a family need the space and quickly applying on the housing register (ask at the counsil) would be a start, housing is based on need of eah person who are allocated points for exmple if you're pregnant/disabled then you gain more points than someone who is not you use these points to barter for a property again the counsil and CAB can give you more info
Good luck

your sister either hasnt tried to help herself or she is lying
there is plenty of benefits available and the council HAVE to rehome her, she is a family in her own right, sharing facilities with another family. You need to find out whether she has tried to help herself and just didnt like the options, the council wont give her a palace, and the DSS wont give her a fortune but both would help her, or does she really have no clue how to get help. Make an appointment at the local Q&A at the council offices, they have advisors there, who will take on everything for her and fight for what she is entitled to

I don't know how old your sister is but she should be able to claim income support. As for housing all she has to say to the council is that she cannot stay at this house any longer, she may have to get the boyfriends mother to back her up and tell the council she wants your sister gone, but they will have to house her then.
Your sister needs to contact the benefits agency as soon as possible to get her claim sorted out.

I would start at a local church in the area you live. Even if your not a member of the church most would help with advice of where to go for help in your area.
Second, get some legal advice from a local advocate service.
In most states in the U.S., and I'm not sure where your from, it is very hard to force someone out of a home if their pregnant or have kids under the age of two.
also welfare or children's services, unwed mothers assistance or such groups.
She doesn't need to be told she is not taken responsibility for herself and child, but she does need to get help making better choices for herself and her baby. I'm sure their are health services such as county or city that will advice her also.
good luck

Why do people always expect the council to bail them out (on other people's money)? It's time people took responsibility for their own actions, and limit the size of their family to the size of their pockets.

at Singapore, if you been comfirmed as a permanent worker, and if you been work with the company for more than 6 months, and if they fired you just bcoz you were pregnant, then you can sue your company and get compensation for atleast 2 or 3 months of your salary or maybe more.
bring your sister to get consultancy at any union or association that can help her to deal with her company.
