YESYEYES. it can, and just might turn green. i had a friend with bleach blond hair and every single time she went into her swimming pull, it turned green. using a chlorine-remover shampoo became a natural thing to her. as for me, i swam many days in a row over the summer (my hair is completely bleached on top) and it never turned green. i guess it just depends on your hair. it's not as if it cant be corrected.. i wouldnt worry about it too much.

I used to have bleached blonde hair and swam A LOT in indoor as well as outdoor pools, AND the ocean. My hair has never turned green, but I always at least rinsed my hair after swimming. The only problem i've came across swimming with bleached hair is it drying out really bad, and to prevent that, I bought some deep moisturizing conditioner (doesn't really matter what brand, just read the label and if it says Deep Moisturizing then go for it), put about a teaspoon in my hands, slathered it all over my hair, then left it in instead of rinsing it.

Yes it can turn your hair a pale green if you swim every day without tying your hair up as the chlorine in an indoor pool is much stronger than an outdoor pool.
I would advise not getting it too wet and washing it soon after you return to your apartment. Try a colour specialist shampoo as well that encourages the hair to remain the shade you have it. No doubt you paid a small fortune to have your hair dyed blonde and want the colour to remain pure.
Have fun in your new apartment pool!

There are specialty shampoos that you put on your hair, comb thru and wash out after swimming that protect your hair color. Also there are specialty shampoos and conditioners that are especially made to remove the chlorine from blonde hair. Wearing a swim cap helps too of course. Try looking for these products at Walgreens and beauty salons. I know first hand about green hair-we had a daughter who was a varsity swimmer. Whatever you do, DO NOT dye over hair tinged green from chlorine. See a beautician.

ask the pool cleaner how high the chlorine level is maintained and what chemicals he uses.
if they keep chlorine level at a recommended level you should be OK. If it is too high your hair will not only turn greenish but also suffers in quality. You can smell the chlorine in the enclosed space of the indoor pool (at least I can, I can smell it in tap water also) - if there is a smell too strong it's not good for anyone's hair.
I would recommend buying a pool test kit (about $6) so you can monitor this by yourself. - if the pool cleaner adds chemicals only once a week you may have various chlorine levels. Testing the water would make sense before you plan on staying in the water with your hair wet for a long time.
And while you are at it, test your tap water for how high the chlorine is in it. I tested my tab water and it is as high in chlorine as the pool! So no need to rinse off the chlorine.
Testing for chlorine takes about 45 seconds to do.
You may want rinse your hair well with unchlorinated water after the pool.- just keep water in an open pot for a few days.

no, the only way your hair will turn green is if you had previously dyed it and bleached it over the dye...but i would recommend that you condition your hair before you get in the swimming pool...try using a leave in conditioner, because your hair has been chemically treated and the chlorine can strip your hair causing severe damage

Just make sure you wash your hair right after swimming. Certain shampoos are made to remove chlorine but much swimming will naturally cause hair discolouration.

In case you're not clear, you're hair won't go grass green... It probably won't even go the slightly greenish tint you're referring to, so long as you didn't peroxide your hair! Buy a swim shampoo and conditioner! I know Boots do a reasonabley priced one! That will counter any choline left in your hair!

if you're a chia pet yes ...., actually all kidding aside if you use the wrong bleaches it can turn green or purple as did my ex wife who didn't know about toners and had to go for a henna rinse to allay the damages.
