there is no short cut as far as price goes with this as the fee for reg transfers is set by the dvla its the reg no that cost the dosh try regtransfers.com
you will be correctly advised that you cannot make your car younger by registration please be aware that all the advice you need will come from reg transfers as some of the so called advice you have already is incorrect.

DVLA is defo the best - but be aware that it is illegal to put a plate on a car that makes it appear younger than it is...in fact the DVLA would not let you do it when you came to transfer the numbers.

Try speedy reg website in the north of Ireland/Co Fermanagh.
All reg in N.I are 1,2,3 letters and 1,2,3,4 number. Better value

Change your name by deed pole to you registration number. For example my name is now V354 5LT. It's much cheaper.

DVLA direct . . . they supply them and you can pick and choose to get the one that is the most relevant to your name etc.
