People who are close to me tell me my gappy teeth is fine. But this condition sometimes make me shy and uncomfortable to talk or laugh freely. Should I listen to those I love or just get the braces and make myself happy?

Yeah that's totally fine just ask your orthodontist. What they might do instead of just braces on the top is that they will start with braces on the top only fr one year then do top and bottom for another year just to fix any overbite you might have. No you won't have to get any teeth taken out. I have really small mouth and when i got braces that said I didn't have to remove any teeth so you should be fine. Also it will hurt no matter what it doesn't matter if you have big gaps or small gaps it will hurt. But only the fist couple of days of them being put one and the day after you get them tightened. So you should be fine don't worry about it, when you go to the dentist ask them if its time you get braces if they say yes start looking around for an orthodontist and they will help you decide on what you want to do.

You should consult an orthodontist and they will tell you what you need. If your teeth make you uncomfortable then getting a retainer or braces will probably boost your confidence. (After you don't have to use them anymore, more likely.)

If you want instant results, porcelain veneers are your best bet.
