My mom and dad are busy all of the time and when they aren't don't really clean up the house.
I'm so embarrased whenever friends come over and when i tell my mom this she just says " why don't you do something about it".
I'm not her maid service! It's not my responsibility to clean up things that aren't my job (unless it's laundry or something). But she is really careless about it and whenever i go to friends houses i fantasize that i live there and try to avoid coming home by all means.
This is so frustrating and makes me really jealous.
What should i do?

i do as much as possible but i'm 15 and have lotsa hw every night- so im kinda low on time. I clean my room and stuff tho.

like im not just as tired when i come home from school? they get to relax- not to mention i have more work when i come home that im not even getting paid to do!!!

maybe just do your cleaning jobs and clean your room and just take you friends in there and if they say "what a mess tell them when your parents aren't around, just tell them my parents haven't had time to do it or they just don't want to clean

time to grow up. Sounds like Mom and Dad are busy working to put the roof over your heads and food in your tummy.
You may be busy too but you could help out around the house. It takes so little time to pass the vaccumn or load the dishwasher. One hour or less a day will go a long way to keeping things tidy.
If your parents see that you are serious about wanting a cleaner house and not just giving "lip service" to it. I am sure your efforts will be appreciated.

Clean up the house! You have 2 hands and a working brain, and mom and dad are not YOUR maids! Why can't you straighten, dust, vacuum, wash a floor and clean the bathroom? I assume you use these areas also. If you make the effort to clean and talk to your parents, I bet you could all find a workable solution!

you're not THAT embarrased! you utilize the WHOLE HOUSE don't you?is your mom and dad YOUR maid and butler? do you pay any of the bills?okay, everybody's tired after school and working; you should be able to do a little something in the house at least once a week; mom does something once a week; dad...you get the picture.

Get a clue! They're too busy, & when they're home, they're too tired. Pitch in & help. They're both working hard to provide -- don't be an ingrate. Just saw your add-on -- Sorry! Do what you can, & don't stress over the rest.

um hello they work hard all day too! to provide for you,
ok if you dont like the way your house looks because your parents dont clean it.then you do it yourself.become responsible.and if you dont feel like doing it then dont have your friends over
