Tueri et servire.

Tueri = Protect, watch; uphold

To protect a house from thieves = A furibus tueri domum (Phaedrus)

Servire = Serve

To serve the people = Populo servire (Cicero, Oratorio pro Placio)

I checked two online translators, and here's what I got:

Serve translates to "Servo"

Protect translates to "Servo"

LOL, guess they are both derived from the same word...
