Race or Religion?

I am sitting here listening to two people who are dissagreeing on weather or not "Jewish people" would be considered to be a "race" or like a "religious part" of a "race of people" that nethier know what to name it.

are Christians a race then and Mormons ect., I more or less thought race had more to do with where your "roots" are from, the "land" where your roots grow so to speak and not what you belive.....

Judaism - a religion

"Jews" a label both for those who follow the religion and for those of that particular ethnic group.

There are people who are ethnically Jewish but are not Jewish religiously and there are people who are religiously Jewish but not Jewish ethnically.

No Christians and Mormons are not a race. They are just religions. The thing is Jews are both a race and a religion. The reason it is called the Jewish religion because it is practiced predominately by Jews and founded by Jews. Yet there are Gentiles who have proselytized into the Jewish faith so they are Jewish by their beliefs. And there are those with the ethnic "roots" of being a Jew but reject the religion.

Jews believe you are born a Jew. Historically, they are descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, etc. In that, they are a race.

However, throughout history they have welcomed those who have joined them by faith. Rahab, Ruth, Samaritans, and the Romans who believed before Christ was sacrificed- and the Holy Spirit given to all Gentiles.

Americans consider Judaism to be a faith not a race. But Nazi Germany considered Jews to be a race.

Jewish is both.

It is a religion, as well as, an ethnicity. I know... I am ethnically Jewish with a great grandmother that survived the Holocaust BUT I was raised Christian... I have rights to own land in Israel because they recognize it as a race as long as it was passed by the female... great grandmother to her daughter (married non jew) had a female... married a non jew but had a female = me = Jewish.

There is a Jewish heritage (i.e. ancestry/race) and a Jewish religion. It has been said that Christopher Columbus was Jewish by ancestry, but not by religion. There are also Jews by religion who are not actually Jewish by ancestry, but this is rarer.

Question is meaningless as Jewish people are most disobedient to their own prophets, aggressive & unjust people who have expelled millions of Palestinians from their original homeland & are living on their lands & say shamelessly that whatever they do is correct & justified. Is there any Jew who says that balfaur declaration was completely unjustified against Palestinians ? This shows there sense of honesty & justice , their 'ACTUAL JUDAISM' teaches . Definitely they are racists. In Holy Quran it has been said that they will remain in tension & trouble forever till the day of resurrection b coz of their worst actions. After resurrection they're bound to go to the hell. to save themselves they're invited to embrace Islam, the only true religion, the book of which is fully intact till now. Original Taurah, Zaboor & Injeel(Bible) have been destroyed long ago b coz of mixing nonsense fabricated verses indiscriminately by Jews in them. Quraan is indestructible b coz it can be memorized even by an 8 year old child, whose mother language is not arabic too. No religious book in the world is having this quality. That's why Holy Quraan is the only BOOK OF GOD reamined INTACT now. Study Islam on internet thoroughly . U will know everything transparently. Never forget to read the book : Minhajul Muslim by Abu Bakar Jabir Al Jazairi. Judaism & Christinianity in present form are misleading ones.
