Has it always been like this? Throughout your childhood and teen years, did they treat you this badly? Look in the yellow pages of the phone book and under various headings such as counseling, mental health, medical, psychotherapy, see if you can find the local MHMR offices. They will have low cost and possibly free counseling depending on where you live. I think you're going to need some big time support to help you get away from this situation. Do you have siblings or any other relatives close by that you could possibly live with? I think you need to get away from your parents, get a job and get counseling and support so you can move away - literally and figuratively - from this abuse.
Good luck to you.

Hello :)
Well I see that you cannot live with your parents
for ever. Maybe for a long period of time but why would you want to anyway, If they mistreat you?
So as everyone here said get a job save some money
and leave as soon as possible I can help you seek
a nice cheap room or APT to live in If you fill me up on your
location. In the mean time you will be much content
because not only will you be making money BUT
you will be home less time. So you will deal with your parents less. Also as you work you will expand your friendship capabilities, meet new people, co-workers and such.
So that should be your next step a job.
As for friends now....
Hi I am Jackie I stay in cali and I am 19.
:)

There are resources out there in your community. Find them and use them. Do what you can to get a job and work your *** off to get there everyday until you can save up for a car. (Is there public transportation?) Get a car and work until you can get a place to stay. Once you have that developed, work on finding a career- go to school if you need. Financial aid exists for a reason. Live your life.
Yeah- I know this is all easier said than done, but that's life. It's not easy. "We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same."
Choose what YOU will do today.

Get a job first of all. Save all of the money that you can. I would look for a place that is looking for roommates at first. It will be quicker for you to move out that way. Why don't you have a job at your age? That is about all that you can do for now.

Start looking for work right away. Start putting your money in a bank account. Spend as little as possible. Start buying a little here and there on home goods and make a hope chest. Save up enough money for your own place. Fly away from the nest and make your own.

I don't understand the people telling u to get a job. It takes too long. Go to a women's shelter, fast. You can find one locally in the phone book. They can help you till u can support yourself. I'm sorry this had to happen to you.

If you're twenty-two, I would get a job, raise some money, and get out of the house and rent an apartment. If it's as bad as you say, you'll stand living the hard life for now.

Go and get a job and support yourself. As long as you live under their roof, there's not much you can do. They are probably trying to make you responsible. At age 22 you really need to start figuring out what you want to do with your life.
