My question is this.
If there is no picture of muhamad.
And its a sin to have a picture of him. then how is it.
If someone draws a picture of a man . And says its muhamad.
How do they know, its him?
If they don't even know what he look like?

My dear friend before I even try to answer your question let me make one thing clear here and that is though this question is addressed to the people of Muslim "faith" and not of Muslim "belief" I will attempt to answer to you anyway with apology ofcourse. The answer to your question is simple, there is no such thing in Islam like making or not making a picture of Muhammad (May Peace Be Upon Him). Infact, this a part of faith of the people who have little or no knowledge of Islam. According to Islam it is not the person that is important rather it is the personality which is more to be followed. Because if we start following people then there is no one in the world divine enough to have to faults beside "the God". It is this reason why we do not have a picture of Prophet Muhammad (MPBUH) rather we have a complete pen picture of his personality which is there for 'Muslims' to be followed and not his physical appearance. Logically, if any picture is ever produced it is easy to distort one's picture rather then distorting a well documented personality; especially when that personality is all peace and love the nothing nonsense can ever be associated to it.

Actually Muhammad bin Abdullah was nothing but prosopopoeia of Allah. Therefore, as per the presumed instructions of the later through the former; saying, doing, criticising anything about/against Muhammad amounts to apostasy/blasphemy. In Islamic jurisprudence, punishment for either of these two is DEATH. Therefore, it does not matter what is drawn and associated with Muhammad shall not be tolerated. Because, Islam is not a religion, it is a NATION (dar ul Islam). Islam is intolerable fascist, socio political cult.

Prophet Mohammad forbid faithfulls to make his images and images of any member of his family. Out or respect Muslims never made picture of any of the rightly guided successor of Prophet Mohammad also.

Main reason is that in all previous religions, followers made pictures and then statues of their Prophets and Holy men and started worshipping them and stopped worshipping . No such men ever taught to worship them after their death.

I am Jesus did not say any such thing. Neither did Mohammad. May be this is one reason Islam is not changed yet and Muslims do not yet worship Mohammad SAW.

Muslims know only when others who make an image and write Mohammad underneath it calling it a picture of Mohammad. It angers Muslims because they want any one start worshipping Mohammad and then see that religion is destroyed like previous religion. See hundred of gods are worshipped in India. They have who knows how many sets each woshipping their separate god.

Careful, don't use rational logic or they'll throw a jihad on you. LOL

But seriously, good question ... I'm not Muslim, but someone will inevitably say it is a desecration and an insult to claim any picture is of Mohamed, even if they can't logically explain it.

There are pictures of Muhammad. I think we have a pretty good idea of what he looked like from written descriptions.

I'm not Muslem but I would assume it is the exact same thing as far as Jesus... meaning that is not him but more of a representation of him.
