I think it depends on the age bracket. I believe women are more apt to decline a proposal in their youth. As for men, as time goes by men grow more afraid of it. I got smart after my first crucifixion. Call me gun shy. LOL

I think most people will say men have a harder time making a committment. I think it just depends on the individual.
I was 48 before I committed. Seven years into it and I had second thoughts. I left for 2 months but came back. I am still here and we have been together for 20 years. You have to work at it ......it aint easy, like eating pie ala mode. LOL

depends on a person's personality. i'm an independent girl that doesn't want serious commitment for a few more years, yet i tend to date more sensitive, nice guys that just want to settle down with me. so in my case, women...but that's just case by case. i know plenty of guys that would hate to commit!
