I agree with you. It sucks a lot. But how bad would infinite existence be? I'll take oblivion over that. But it would be nice if we could live for a few hundred years or so, provided that we spend most of that time in our "youth."

I think it makes you treat life different if you dont believe in Heaven. Im a Christian myself and so i dont know the hands on how that feels but I dont think that there would be a point to life if you live you die and thats the end as a Christian Im no tafraid of death and or whether or not i go to Heaven or Hell because i know whatever happens it will be because I would or wouldnt be happy if i had to do one over the other.

Now that I am still reasonably young and healthy I wish to postpone death for as long as possible.
When I am older and becoming infirm I may change my mind.
For those who wish for immortality, they need to read Gulliver's Travels. In particular the bit with the Struldbrugs.

It scares me sometimes, but on a regular basis I just don't think about it. Although the fear of living eternally in hell certainly is a more frightening thought, which is why I find my beliefs more pleasent than some.

Even though I know nothing is going to happen after I die, I still am not afraid of it. The only thing it forces me to do is make the most of the time that I have left.
To everyone, call your parents and tell them you love them if you are lucky enough to have the opportunity.

I'm alright with that - it makes the life I have all the more precious, because I'm not deluding myself with the idea that I'll get a second, happier life after I die. I feel I value my friends and family more than most people who believe in an afterlife, because I know that once they're gone they're gone forever.

I'm not an Athiest, but if that IS the end for us, then it is scary.
Because I imagine the moment of sleep, it feels like a few seconds of NOTHING, so imagine doing that forever.
Which is why athiesm scares me.

I'm completely okay with it. It forces me to live my life in a good and healthy way because it's the only life I get. I must be good to people NOW, call my family often, be kind to others... I don't get a second chance and there is no one to forgive me my errors and mistakes other than me and those whom I err.

I like the idea of sleeping in. I never get a chance to do that in life, so bring it on.
