Just answer yes or no there's no judge to tell you which answer is right. A best answer might be chosen by me or I may put it to a vote. I repeat I am no judge to decide if what you say is right or wrong. If this question is offensive let that be your answer. Also if he is not the best example, who in your opinion is?

Since Osama is not so much a ruler as the leader of a small organization, he is a poor example (although his goal is Islamic rule over all the world).

I can think of some good examples:
1: Iran. Ahmidijan and the Ayatollahs that control him. No freedom, the hanging of homosexuals, pursuit of an atomic bomb in defiance of the world (and promises to use it, no matter the consequences).
2: Saudi Arabia. One of the most repressive places on earth, where a woman is not permitted to leave her home except in the presence of a male guardian, and where daily executions take place for things we wouldn't even consider a crime here (recently a busload of tourists were gunned down for accidentally turning down the wrong road).
3: Syria. A nasty combination of socialism and militant Jihad. And what they did to Lebanon is unforgivable.
4: Afghanistan under the Taliban: Women were not permitted to go to school, men were executed for not growing beards, and it is from there that the 9/11 attacks were planned and executed.
5: Palestine. It is so much worse there now for Muslims than it was before Israel gave the land to the Palestinians to start their own country. Civil war, extreme poverty, violence...and when the world tries to help, instead of feeding the poor, or doing something about the infrastructure, the money is spent on more weapons, including some very expensive rockets fired daily into Israel.

There are many more, but I hope that's a good start.

No, I'd say that Atefah Sahaaleh is the best example of what fundamentalist Islamic rule can do to you.

No he is not, because he caused alot of problems and disrespect to all Muslims and Arabs around the world...Look at the difference before 9/11 and after that...Don't think that Muslims like him...So he is the worst example...
I think the best example is Prophet Mohammad

OBL does not represent any part of Islam. He is nuts. The only thing that sick bastard accomplished is making life hell for the rest of us muslims.

Well, actions do speak louder than words. He's the only leader that I know of that has taken action. The rest just talk about wanting peace.

Osama bin Laden cannot be called a muslim for doing what he did so he does not belong to Islam anyway.
