I like names based on how they're written, rather than pronounced. But solely off pronunciation: 1. Emi 2. Nozomi 3. Chie 4. Yuri 5. Sumiko

I was taught to stress the next-to-last syllable for Japanese names of three syllables or more. That would make your fish's name pronounced something like: ki-CHI-rou.

Good luck, and enjoy your fish! ;-)

ki = key
chi = chee as in chia pet
rou = r sound (rolled sort of like in spanish) and say o but a little longer

its not a oo sound as in cool or a u sound, when you extend a o sound in japanese, in hiragana, it is extened with a u (in most cases) but it is still an o sound.
so its

key chee ro-
