In spanish and some other languanges is not right to do an exact translation of every world in a sentence , is called redundancia, y means more or less that the use of the same world in the same sentence several times is not needed nor correct.
Some people do get complicated some times.....

Duchar, in the United States and I think in Mexico, often can be taken as "douche." So you don't really want to say I'm in the bathroom douching myself. Also bañar in that sense is a reflexive verb so you have to say me estoy bañando or estoy bañandome.
