i mean look at this
The ACLU has filed 6 lawsuits against the Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana school board over what the group sees as teacher-led prayer in school activities. whats wrong in praying in school. - they built those foot things for the muslims to pray with in minisotta with tax money, the ACLU said nothing about this. but there are against public prayer.

the have opposed immigration rules becos they say "it disturbes people's civil liberties".- WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE SAFETY OF AMERICA BOTH ECONOMICALLY AND IN A SECURITY POINT OF VIEW. without a strong U.S. economy, there can be no ACLU.

The decriminalization of drugs such as heroin, cocaine and marijuana. - this is not jamica.

its becaus of pathetic groups like this that make people angry to discriminate.

They overdo everything. If the ACLU is involved, you can bet it isn't anything that a decent person would want to be involved in.

They have NEVER over done the liberty thing. They have buried in the ground and semblance of common sense in the courtrooms by pandering to the nut jobs and greedy organizations bent on destroying the freedoms this country was founded on. The ACLU is the greatest oxymoron of our time.

They also pick the fights that get the most attention, they removed a cross from a college campus (private organization) but rallied to put the foot basins in a 'tax-payer' supported school. They will bring news cameras to a loading dock full of illegal aliens that are being deported, but the won't go to an Indian Reservation and show decrepit schools and starving children.

What part of the Constitution would you like to appeal? The activity of a state employee implies a promotion of the state. Since that is prohibited by law, your question is without merit in that regard.

As far as the decriminalization of various activities, we are spending far too much money and seeing no real benefit for this nation's investment in that regard. That money would be better spent on the education and health care of all children.

The ACLU exists to protect the Bill of Rights. I am quite fond of the Bill of rights and the constitution. You may may be happy to let the Gov't walk on you. I perfer that not happen. Trying to force others to act and think like you is UN-American, and certainly UN-Consitiutional. THe great thing about the ACLU is that they do not pick their cases based on how popular the victims are. They often defend unsympathetic groups. Rather beign offended by this, try changing the name of the group they are defending to a group you like. See how well the shoe fits, then decide.

The foot-washing basin in Minnesota was funded by taxpayer money. The difference between this and TEACHER-LED school prayer is that the foot washing basin is *not* compulsory, *not* exclusionary for non-Christians, and *not* illegal based on former court cases.

Immigrants actually strengthen the economy. You can argue as much as you want, but more productivity for less pay means a stronger economy.

I mean, seriously.... understand the issues first. It's not a "foot thing to pray at", it's a basin to wash your feet in, in accordance with hadith principles. It's also interfaith - Christians tend to wash their feet on a few special days (the specific holidays tend to escape me right now).

Do they also make you SO ANGRY that you forget proper grammer and spelling? I wouldn't want to imagine the United States without the ACLU. They protect all of us, and our democracy from over-reaching administrations, like our current leader.

THE ACLU IS THE VANGUARD FOR YOUR RIGHTS. I HAVE NOT ALWAYS AGREED WITH THEM AND THEIR STANDS, BUT THEY DO MAKE A STAND. MORE THEN I CAN SAY FOR MOST SO CALLED CIVIC ACTION GROUPS.

YOU CITE THE LAWSUITS AGAINST LOUISIANA. FIRST CITE THE CASES THAT LEAD TO THIS CASE. IT IS NOT ABOUT SCHOOL PRAYER PER SE. IT IS ABOUT WHOSE PRAYER. DOES THAT PRAYER OFFEND ME AS CATHOLIC, BAPTIST, ATHITHIST?
PRAYER IS OUTLAWED IN SCHOOLS(PUBLIC) BECAUSE IT IS PUBLIC DOMAIN. NOT PRIVATE. (SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE)

IMMIGRATION RULES--"IT DISTURBES PEOPLES CIVIL LIBERTIES" WELL MY SON IN LAW IS A CANADIAN CITIZEN AND HAS LIVED IN THE USA SINCE 1999. HE HAS BEEN DECLARED AS OF LAST YEAR UNDER 911- AN ILLEGAL AND HAS HAD TO FILL OUT PAPERS TO STAY IN THE USA.

DECRIMINALIZATION OF DRUGS--THEY ARE NOT ASKING FOR THE DECRIMINALIZATION OF DRUGS--THEY ARE ASKING FOR THEM TO BE DISPENSED LIKE A DIABETIC TAKES AN INJECTION AND THAT THEY BE DECRIMIALIZED SO WE DO NOT HAVE INMATES WHO USED OR SOLD THEM DOING 40 YEARS IN PRISON? 5-10 YEARS BUT 40?
THIS IS WHY THEY ARE ARGUING ABOUT THESE INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS.
CONTRARY TO YOUR VIEWS,RIGHTS ARE FOR ALL NOT JUST A FEW.
ACLU HAS SUED FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENTS TO BUILD PROPER LOCK UP FACILITIES. PROPER CARE FACILITIES, PROPER HOSPITAL AND NURSING HOME FACILITIES.

BEFORE YOU JUMP THE BAND WAGON CHECK OUT ALL ASPECTS(BOTH SIDES) OF THE DISPUTE.
ABORTION: ROE V WADE--NOT EVEN ABOUT THE ABORTION ISSUE. IT WAS ABOUT THE RIGHT OF A PERSON TO HAVE AN ABORTION AND THE STATE TO ACCEPT THAT WISH. BEFORE THAT LAW, THE SATE COULD SAY NO ABORTIONS WERE ALLOWED.
IT IS NOT THE STATES RIGHT TO DICTATE. WE ARE A FREE SOCIETY??

The ACLU is a front for the American Communist movement, there is nothing "Liberty" about it.

They aren't overdoing liberty; they're overdoing protection of the liberal side of things.
