any pro-lifer who wants abortions to be abolished, christian or not, is basically using pregnancy as a punishment to the woman for having a healthy sex life. it's disgusting.

Pregnancy is a blessing not a punishment. If they do not want to keep the baby than they should give it up for adoption because God knows what is best for that child. Christians appose abortion because we believe it is killing an innocent human being. It is life that is being murdered. And as a Christian I'm looking at the whole picture, the baby isn't the only one that is a victim so is the women who get them done. They are never the same and I don't want them to go through with it.

Pregnancy should by no means be looked at as punishment. God said children are a blessing. I am against abortion. Its wrong to not give a child the chance to live life. If a woman doesn't want to become pregnant she should keep her legs closed. We as christians should not have sex until we are married because God understood that both parents should be involved in order for the child to recieve a proper upbringing. But 'man' can't understand that.

In as much as a bulemic would view being well-fed as a "punishment" for eating.

That is unless they were being gluttonous and eating more than they should to be healthy - then they would get fat... and they would purge themselves to negate the bad binge behavior.

That's just like when someone engages in sex with someone without wanting to have a child with them. They are trying to "cheat the system" by negating the natural (and what should be considered miraculously beautiful) effects of sexual activity.

Well I believe in prochoice and its the woman's decision on what she wants to do with her body. The embryo is not a human being because the baby hasnt developed so I don't think abortion should be opposed but if the baby was almost fully developed, then NO.

OK, so if a woman gets raped, punish the victim, right? Real freaking civilized, dudes! Not only does a woman have a right to choose her partners, she should have a right to choose when, how, and by whom she gets pregnant. There is no reason, in a civilized country, that a woman should be forced to have her rapist's baby. And no pharmacist should have the right to deny a woman anything her doctor prescribed for her -- including emergency contraception.

But, since we're talking about punishment for sexual activity, these are the same people who oppose an HPV (Genital Warts) vaccine which would effectively eliminate cervical cancer. Why? Because it encourages promiscuity, and undermines "God's Sovereignty" by taking the "consequences out of sin." If the cure for AIDS were found tomorrow, these people would probably oppose that, too. God save me from these barbarians!

The responsibility for abortion in society must fall on the shoulders of doctors who either do not take or do not follow the Hippocratic Oath to preserve life and not to do harm. Men and women must accept the responsibility for getting pregnant but doctors must accept the responsibility for abortion whether or not a woman consents to the procedure. Medicine is no longer the trustworthy profession it was meant to be.

We are insisting that people realize that pregnancy is the result of sexual activity. We are insisting that people who engage in sexual activity take responsibility for the HUMAN LIFE they have created.
I am not understanding why this is such a problem, especially for "scientific minds" who surely know, by this time, where babies come from...

people will choose to treat pregnancy whichever way they want but opposing abortion has nothing to do with people's emotions. A baby is a beautiful thing, hard work yes but is our society so lazy that they can't take care of babies? if you don't think your capable than put the baby up for adoption just give it life.

Your question makes no sense. Why would someone who wants children consider it a punishment or think about killing them? Children are a wonderful blessing. I have three.
