No one knows.
The reason is we don't know enough about the "feedback effects". Like, white ice melts, exposes dark ground, warming speeds up.
That may make things happen faster than most people think. But we can't calculate it now.
A reasonable guess is that the Arctic ice has 30-100 years left, the Antarctic considerably more. But ice free summers will happen sooner in the Arctic, which will be devastating to the ecology.

In the 1970's scientist were telling us that we were headed into another ice age. Now the ice caps are melting. In 20 years it will be a whole new ball of wax, and we might be almost out of oxygen for all that we can predict today.
Eventually the world will be destroyed. The version I believe in is at the end of the bible. Until then, there is no telling what else might happen. I do know that the whole world is not supposed to ever flood again. I hope that helps out with your concerns.

hopefully never, because that implies a major average change in world temperatures so large that the tropics and desert areas will become inhabitable, the flow of cold and warm water in the oceans will stop, and the vast stores of Methane, now frozen in permafrost and arctic oceans will evaporate and poison the whole atmosphere. not to mention the 50 meters rise in sea level, Hugh everlasting tropical storms, and frequent floods.
in short, it is probably a doom for all life on earth.

.over the past 8 years the northern hemisphere has been much warmer than the southern hemisphere, and the Arctic ice has been melting at much faster rate than the antarctic. The ONLY logical cause is of this is because 3/4ths of the worlds population lives in the northern hemisphere.
