No, Jr wouldn't be leaving and DEI would be in great shape.

Teresa isn't stupid, she is very intelligent but she doesn't have the knowledge or temperament to run a racing business. She tried to hire someone to run it for her but it hasn't worked out. Moral is very low among the DEI workers. DEI will lose millions of dollars in income next year because Jr is leaving. I doubt DEI will be able to operate without financial help after the 2008 season.

This is very sad.

I am sure Jr would still be with DEI if Sr was still alive. If you look back Jr didnt want ownership in the company until after his father died. With Sr background in racing, he would have made better sound desisions for his company then Terisa. She is doing the best that she can for the company. I am sure she did not want to give up control over DEI cause I think she was a big part in starting DEI with Sr

Jr has answered this question before, and the answer is no..If his dad were alive, he and Jr would be running the company, they would have top notch equipment, remember jr use to win races..Its just the last 2 yrs.. Dale Sr would have never let DEI (aka TEI) get in the shape it is today with crappy equipment..

Go Dale Jr & HMS in 2008..
Its sad he had to leave...but he had no choice...R.I.P Dale Sr..Jr is going to do great at HMS

It would be a moot issue. None of this would be happening. Sr built DEI with his kids in mind. Jr would not be dealing with any of this now. Some where down the line he may have wanted to go out on his own, but not this way.

hell no! If Dale Sr. was still alive, things would be different. It was always his wish that one day his son would take over DEI. Now little miss Teresa is running the company into the ground!!

No. He started DEI for his children. He said so before he died. Junior would be part owner and you can bet he would get better equipment than he has been getting the last 2 years.

I'm not a Jr. but I believe he got the short end of the stick on this. If Sr. was still around, Mother T would be ar Burger King.

No I dont think he would leave. I would have love to have worked with my dad. They would have been kicking some Nascar a$$ right now. I have to agree with others that Theresa would not have any influence on the team. I hope when Truexs contract he goes elsewhere. I like him too much to see him go down in flames like Jr has had to put up with.

No. select_f gave the best answer.

Jr would not be leaving DEI because its performance with his cars would not be in the toilet so to speak and his Dad would have likely made better decisions for the teams, and there would be no reason to seek more from another team.

"If" is the big question here.
Personally if Dale were alive Junior would be with D E I and
he would have at least 1 championship.
