umm i like this guy, he goes to my church school and my regular school, he talks to me smiles to me and actually holding my hand. my friend dared me to come up and hug him, and so i did. i just say, "are you my friend?" he replies, "yeah" and then i was like can i have a hug, and he said, " i dont usually give hugs but ok" then he gave me a hug. we made eye contact and stuff, but i dont know what do you guys think? [i kinda like him too]

You can tell if it's just friends, because friends say anything to each other and aren't really shy about being all out loud and even embarrassing. If you were to bump into something a friend might laugh and say "ha stupid" and then tease you more but a guy that likes you would ask if you were alright and see if you were alright. If someone is making fun of you (either cause they are a friend just hackin' on you or some jerk being mean) a friend might join in and have a laugh trying to make you laugh, but a guy that likes you tends to look at who ever is joking you like they're a jerk and not laugh.
Thats really all I can remember about that stage of "just friends or more". Hope it helpes.

First off how old are you? When he hugged you was it a short quick hug or a hold me tight kind of hug? did his arms feel stronge around you? From what you said the fact that he even gave you a hug when he normally doesn't hug is a good sign.

Of course he likes you but he may not be used to hug because of shyness. Usually the guy does the fishing though! LOL. but if you like him, go for it girl! You are probably young and should enjoy holding hands and hug, then maybe one day you will kiss and who knows? From one thing to another...

Yeah, he probably likes you a lot more than he'd ever admit, but don't be too aggressive, or you might scare him away. He sounds like the kind of guy that takes things a bit slower than average, and there's nothing wrong with that kind. Just be yourself, be friendly, but not overly friendly. Let him make some moves. Just be patient.

Its hard to know, maybe he hugged you because he didn't wish to seem impolite by declining after you specifically asked him to. In any case you have made the first approach, and he knows you like him, so its up to him to make the next move. Good luck.

yes, it seems like he likes you. i think when he said he doesnt give hugs often and gave you a hug, he was implying that something about you is special so he did something he didnt usually do. good luck =]

well can you add your age range like middle school or hs..................well im guessing middle school but the holding hands thing...guys dont normally do that but im kinda shocked about the hug thing because when i was in middle school guys hugged all the girls
