Make a sheet cake, then get a picture of a foot, enlarge it on the copier to the suitable size. Lay it on top of the cake and cut around it. Frost it with flesh colored frosting and make red toenails with gel. You can get fancy and put a toe ring with silver or gold colored frosting.

I would go to a store that sells cake decorating supplies, we have one called "RSVP" here. Look for a cake pan in the shape of a person, like a doll or something (don't think you'll find an actual angel). Then bake some extra cake in a plain pan that is about the same thickness and use that to cut wings. If you're artistic enough you could probably just bake a big sheet cake and cut out the whole thing yourself. As for a recipe, why not just use Angel food cake? From a box or with a standard recipe. Sounds like a fun project. Oh, I just had another idea. Instead of making the wings from extra cake, you could always cut them out of lace or doily paper.

well you can trace a foot on a piece of paper with a marker or just draw a bigger one. then when you bake the cake in the regular square shape, you cut some of the sides off and put the paper under it and cut in the trace, then put frosting. it should be pretty easy. hope you get what i mean and it comes out good :)

Make a 9" round layer, and make 5 cupcakes.
Cut the round layer in a few pieces to make into a foot-looking shape, then use the cupcakes to make the toes.

Basically, the easiest way is to bake a large rectangular cake and cut it to shape. Use the parts you cut off to make toes so it's not all wasted.

I was thinking that if you bake the cake, you could cut the shape out afterwards. Then once you've done that, ice and decoarate.
